Description
1931 Ford Model A highboy. The color is Lincoln green it’s a derivative of a dickies color. The engine is a 1957 old rocket 88, 371 cu in with the Tri-power J2 set up and Offenhouser valve covers. Transmission is from a 1950 olds. It’s a three speed top loader. Rearend is smoothly out of an early Ford 9 inch 3:50 gears. And a triangulated ladder bar set up from the roadster speed shop. The front is maintained by 35’-36’ Ford radius rods. Breaking system, including pedals are from an early Ford pickup. It’s shoes, not disc. Master cylinder is from early 60’-62’ Chev. Fitted with all 32 stylings. This includes- grill shell, cowl, dashboard, chassis, gas tank. It has a 9 inch chop also known, back in the day, as a “dollar bill chop” the front windshield is the exact length of a dollar bill. Roof has been filled in and seems from original fabrication have been deleted. All original oak framing was kept in roof structure. Battery was relocated to the trunk of the vehicle hidden in an old toolbox. Hub caps are from a 46’ ford. 55’-59’ chev drop head peep mirror with a dash is 51’-52’ olds rocket 88 and seat belts are period WWII bomber seat belts.
